What kind of Media do we want for Europe?

The first answer which springs to mind is a free, independent, diverse and vibrant media. But that raises questions: What value do we give to content and how can we finance the media we want?

In the current changing environment, advertising, remains a key revenue source for the content industry, helping to ensure high quality production and the independence of media which is crucial to its role in democracy.

Come and discuss the European Media Revolution with media professionals from all over Europe and European policymakers! Participants in the Panel Discussion will include Members of the European Parliament and high-level representatives of the media industry.

Keynote by Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for Digital Agenda.
